Outback FX & VFX - Off-Grid

OutBack Power’s true sinewave inverter/charger is a complete power solution. It incorporates a DC-to-AC sinewave inverter, battery charger and AC transfer relay housed within a die-cast aluminum chassis.

Intelligent multistage battery charging reduces generator run-time and prolongs the life of your batteries. Built-in networked communications enables multiple units to be stacked and connected with other OutBack Power electronics providing industry leading integration and near infinite application flexibility. The exclusive modular system architecture means that increased power output is just an additional inverter/charger away.

Outback GTFX & GVFX - Grid-Interactive

The OutBack International Series true sinewave grid- interactive inverter/charger is a complete power solution. The International Series is designed for use in 50 Hz countries that have utility grids with nominal AC voltages of 230 VAC / 50 Hz. For areas that frequently experience high to low power conditions such as surges, spikes or brownouts, or have trouble syncing to the utility grid, the International Series grid reconnects timers that have been shortened to reduce overall system downtime and improve system functionality.

Incorporating a DC to AC sinewave inverter, battery charger and AC transfer switch housed within a die-cast aluminum chassis the International Series GTFX and GVFX Inverter/ Chargers give you the ability to sell solar, wind or hydro power back to the utility grid while providing instantaneous back-up power in the event of a utility outage. Our built- in transfer switch automatically disconnects your loads from the utility grid and powers them from the inverter in the event of an outage, allowing you to continue using your solar and battery back-up power, unlike traditional grid-tie systems. Outback FXR - Hybrid: Off-grid / Grid-connected operation

The latest, most advanced features on the industry’s most trusted and proven platform—that’s the essence of OutBack’s new FXR Series of Grid/Hybrid inverter/chargers. Capable of off-grid or grid-connected operation in a single model, the FXR Grid/Hybrid inverter/chargers provide system designers with unprecedented flexibility and compatibility for nearly any power conversion scenario.

The new FXR features and technologies on the acclaimed FX platform include:

Up to nine inverters can be combined in a 3-phase system with the 12V, 24V or 48V models, and up to 30kW in a grid-tied 24V or 48V system. Outback Radian - Grid/Hybrid

OutBack Power’s acclaimed Radian Series made the benefits of Grid/Hybrid technology available and accessible in one agile powerful, platform ideal for nearly all off-grid or grid-connected system architectures.

The Radian Series GS7048E and all-new GS3548E features dual AC inputs for grid/generator flexibility with no external switching required, unparalleled surge capability and operational stability, easy field upgradeability and stacking capability for large system scaling, simplified system commissioning through a powerful, easy-to-use configuration wizard, and multi-mode operational flexibility. In addition, both models have new Advanced Battery Charging (ABC) profile options to support leading-edge battery technologies such as Lithium-Ion and others, and enhanced diagnostics for improved performance. And both incorporate OutBack’s GridZero technology, a superior level of intelligence in energy management for self-generation and self-consumption programs, providing precise balancing between using stored energy, solar and utility power, blending-in the latter to overcome surges and load spikes when needed. GridZero operation makes it possible for a smaller inverter and battery system to perform like a much larger one when required, putting stored and renewable energy sources to work and minimizing grid dependence.

As truly global products, the Radian Series GS7048E and GS3548E inverter/chargers offer selectable voltage and frequency for use in a wide variety of locations, and innovative grid interface protection, which allows precision programming and control to accommodate shifting utility requirements in areas with high PV penetration or specific interconnection requirements. HUB System Communications Manager

The HUB system communications manager is the backbone of your networked OutBack power conversion system. The OutBack HUB communicates stacking, load share and power save on/off signals. Interconnection cabling is standard Ethernet CAT5 with RJ45 modular jacks. Through the use of a HUB, your system is completely coordinated and managed by the MATE.

The MATE system display and controllers are complete management tools for your OutBack Power system. Through the use of a single MATE, you can remotely manage and monitor multiple inverter/chargers, MX60s and any future OutBack power conversion and control products.

The MATE and MATE2 are packed full of features to make system management simple. The easy-to-read 3.1" (8 cm) LCD is backlit for dark operating conditions. Four soft keys allow easy context-based navigation of menus and functions. Two hot keys give immediate access to AC and inverter functions.

A built-in clock and calendar function enables timer based programming of inverter and charger operation, allowing operators to set the system to work with time-of-day power rates or to limit a generator's runtime to a specific time period of the day or week. All of your settings are stored in permanent memory to eliminate the need to reprogram in the event of a system shutdown or battery replacement. The MATE and MATE2 include a RS232 port with DB9 jack for connection to the serial port of a PC computer. Through the use of optional WinVerter software, operators can perform actions such as data-logging and graphical display of the system's operation and performance. The MATE system display and controller is surface mounted while the MATE2 is flush mountable in a wall cut-out.

The MATE3 System Display and Controller make it easier than ever to program and monitor a complete OutBack Power system. An intuitive user interface and integrated system configuration wizard make system setup and programming quick and seamless. The ability to set unique multi-level user passwords makes it possible to secure critical system settings from unintended changes while still allowing open access to necessary functions.

Other features making system management simpler include an easy-to-read graphical backlit LCD display, improved tactile buttons, and user programmable 'favorite' keys for immediate access to the most wanted features. An intuitive scroll wheel interface allows easy adjustment of system set points. Expandable SD card memory increases data-logging capacity as well as making it easy to upgrade units in the field.
