The unit is of the full wave thyristor regulator type and has the advantage of rugged simplicity and high reliability with low heat dissipation. Protection is provided by electronic current limiting and fuses. An important feature of this unit is parallel operation. This means high current capability and parallel redundant reliability.
The battery chargers are also available in a 19" rack version up to 1 200 watts; or on an open chassis; or built into standard steel cabinets (see picture).
Many standard options are available regarding voltage and current ratings, metering, alarms, smoothing and parallel operation. Three phase units are generally preferred above 3 KW. Other voltages and currents available on request.
